As the owner and managing director of the Essen-Kettwig advertising and design agency CLAN, which was founded over 25 years ago, Robert Böcker, who was born in Essen in 1964, develops individual and series works under the signed pseudonym “Gunslinger”, which are printed directly onto brushed aluminum composite panels .
“In addition to artistic reinterpretations of painting, music and literature, we focus primarily on obscure phenomena, developments and trends of a sated society.
The Gunslinger, which suddenly got out of control in the 70s film classic Westworld, already revealed the dangerous developments of a degenerate society that wanted to live out its longings and bizarre abysses using the most modern AI.
That was over 50 years ago and more relevant than ever...
Since 2016 I have been creating paintings to the songs of the band Genesis. The band's legendary ex-guitarist Steve Hackett and his wife Jo visited me for the first exhibition. Many exhibitions followed. In 2018 I was able to exhibit in Roger Dean's gallery and regularly tour with the best cover band "The Musical Box" and present my works to a large audience.
Marjan von de Fenn was born in Tehran and has lived in Germany for over 30 years. She discovered her love for art and painting at an early age. The various influences from various cultures in her eventful countries and life stages in the Orient and Oxident have contributed significantly to her open and liberal worldview. These influences are also reflected in her artistic works: mixtures of modern and traditional painting styles can be found in her pictures again, which are made in acrylic. Marjan is more of a 'free spirit' here and relies on diversity instead of uniformity and well-trodden paths. The result leads to very expressive and mostly colorful works that combine different techniques.
